Four different authors finish the same story
In dark times, it’s a natural human tendency to huddle together around a fire and tell stories. They are the way we understand the world and our place in it; they illuminate, they entertain and they support.
So some nutty friends gathered, followed their instincts and decided to create some short stories to share with each other. Using a very different approach. The quirk was that they all had to start them the same way, with the beginnings that A. J. Terlesky provided. Her story starters are the anchor for the title, style, theme and narration; Heather Deane-Clark, Nina Goodman, Brenda Tee and Susan Ward each used these and independently wrote the twisted endings. The various tales that resulted amazed us all when we met and listened to each other’s writings. They were all so surprisingly different! It really is amazing the turns a story takes in someone else’s hands.
As you’ll see when you read them. Each story is like a mythical creature having one body and four divergent tails. We hope you enjoy reading them as much as we enjoyed writing and sharing them!
